ASR a eu apparemment du mal sur le début 2016 à approvisionner les revendeurs notamment en raison de la sortie de la nouvelle mouture des fameux Emitter 1 et 2.
D’après Friedrich SCHAEFFER, l’évolution est importante en terme de rendu sonore. Le concept reste le même :
- Emitter 1 : 2 ou 3 Boitiers (Bloc Batteries en option)
- Emitter 2 : 3 ou 4 Boitiers (Bloc Batteries en option)
Les tarifs restent apparemment les mêmes. Reste à savoir si ces nouvelles moutures proposent une nette amélioration sonore.
A noter que les upgrades ne sont pas possible. En résumé vous pouvez upgrader tout les Emitter depuis 2007 à une version 2015 (y compris le remplacement des condos ELKO), mais tout upgrade vers des versions 2016 est impossible.

The Emitters have been reworked and very much improved in many details !
The new Emitters are unbelievable fast, sound very powerful and are very precise,
have a very defined 3 D soundstage with many micro details-
with extreme control and power especially in low frequencies-

New input selector with double contact relays switch signal and signal ground together.
Exclusive version with High Voltage Elkos in the main unit and Battery PSU
Also new HV Elkos for input and output stage on the main board.
Adjustable Sub or Pre-out with 6 and 12 dB adjustment for Subwoofer and pre out for slave amps.
Compensation switch with 4x Dip switch (6x at Emitter II) per channel for smoother adjustment.
Input resistance adjustable between 22 k and 500 Ohms with 4 Dip switches.
New faceplate with elegant engravement.
New backplate with high quality, round XLR Connector.
More before optional equipment comes as Standard:
Emitter I Basic now comes as standard with high quality Elma switches and Copal optical rotary encoder. The Trafo PSU comes now with built in active Power parts.
The Emitter Exclusive are equipped with :
Massive Brass Block for the new amplifer HV ICs, HV Elkos for input and output stage, 80 V HV Elkos ( Emitter II 100 V ) for output stage, splitted supply to the both channels for all 6 voltages
and 8 qmm silver cable made from solid silver wires for the speaker minus connection.The improvements in detail :
New design:
New faceplate with a more elegant engraving from shorter names
The left knob ( on off switch ) comes with O, S, 1, 2
(optional with O, S, 1, 2 3, 4, 5, 6, for versions with headphone or second output)
The right knob ( Input selector ) is named from 1 to 5 and D for Direct (6, 7 with optional more inputs)
New backplate with separate placed inputs and outputs and round XLR Connector from switchcraft.New improved technique :
The new Emitter models have a new even more symmetrical designed PCB Board.
With nearly all parts and led placed that the left is nearly the mirror of the right channel.
The boards are more stable from 2,4 mm FR4 material, with 110u Copper (1,4 mm with 70u before).
The output transistors are equipped in the new version with 1 mm High grade Ceramic Isolators for a much better electrical and acoustical isolation.
That is a large much improvement compared to the thin Kapton isolation washers used before.
High grade pure copper audio resistors in signal path for smoother reproduction.
High Voltage Elkos in the main unit and Battery PSU included in Exclusive version, Optional for Basic versions. Also new HV Elkos are used for input and output stage on the main board.
Emitter I Exclusive and Emitter II Exclusive with Brass block on the input circuit.
Decoupled voltage supplies at all 6 voltages for both channel at both Emitter Exclusive models
Decoupled supplies fur input stages and offset correction and buffer stage.
Energy modes is shown at the main board with a yellow led, Full Power with a blue led.
Volume control with additionally relay to damp the signal down in Off Mode.
Improved safety circuit with improved detection from offset and Overload faults.
Modified switch OFF delay in case of overheat, to first to energy mode to allow the unit cool down.
The balanced converter is now integrated in the main board, and is also available with 2 balanced inputs for Emitter I.
New input selector with double contacts (2x On signal)-relays that switch signal and signal ground together.More adjustment possibilities:
Adjustable Sub or Pre-out with 6 and 12 dB adjustment for Subwoofer and pre out for slave amps.
Additionally precision trimmer for precise adjustment of the output voltage allows the connection to subwoofer or separate main amplifiers without volume control for Bi- amping .
The Pre (Sub) Out is standard at Exclusive, option at Basic.
Compensation switch with 4x Dip switch per channel for smoother adjustment at Emitter I.
That allows more delicate adjustment of the sound figure with slower or faster rise time.
Input resistance adjustable between 22 k and 500 Ohms with 4 Dip switches.
That allows also a fine trimming of the resistance to get a better match with your cables and sources.
Also allows the fine tuning of the sound figure and lower losses in longer cables.Inputs circuit improved :

New input selector with double contact signal-relays that switch signal and signal ground together.
To get an improved sound figure with multiple signal sources from avoiding ground loops.
The Emitter now operates also with several sources connected as there is only one.
Basic version: 5 unbalanced RCA inputs marked with 1-5, 1 direct input , 1 Output,
Option: balanced input instead of 1 RCA, 6 or 7 input, Sub out adjustable.
Exclusive: 3 unbalanced (marked 1-3), 1 WBT CU (marked 4) and 1 balanced input (marked 5), 1 direct input , 1 output, Pre and Sub output, adjustable with 2x Dip switches for Subwoofer and external main amplifiers.
Optional for both models: maximal in total 7 inputs with between 5 to 7 unbalanced inputs
and 1 or 2 balanced inputs, Tape monitor or equalizer loop
